The type of personal information we collect

When you visit the Site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to process your purchases. We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support. In this Privacy Policy, we refer to any information that can uniquely identify an individual (including the information below) as “Personal Information”. Device information

  • Examples of Personal Information collected: version of web browser, IP address, time zone, cookie information, what sites or products you view, search terms, and how you interact with the Site.
  • Purpose of collection: to load the Site accurately for you, and to perform analytics on Site usage to optimize our Site.
  • Source of collection: Collected automatically when you access our Site using cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, or pixels.
  • Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify (or in the case of  Etsy sales Etsy.com) and our analytics provider Google.com

Order information

    • Examples of Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers or PayPal username), email address, and phone number.
    • Purpose of collection: to provide products or services to you to fulfill our contract, to process your payment information, arrange for shipping, and provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
    • Source of collection: collected from you.
    • Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify, (optional payment gateway) Paypal, (shipping provider) Royal Mail and for any Etsy sales Etsy.com. I use Square for in person card processing and email addresses or mobile numbers may be retained where provided. MailChimp will receive order information for customers that have opted into email marketing or signed up for my newsletter. This is so I can send tailored offers to you. You can unsubscribe at any point and all data relating to you will be deleted.

Customer support information

  • Examples of Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers or PayPal username), email address, and phone number.
  • Purpose of collection: to provide customer support and to keep you up to date with new products and offers (You may opt out of any marketing emails by clicking on Unsubscribe or by contacting us at hello@theprintlass.co.uk)
  • Source of collection: collected from you.
  • Disclosure for a business purpose: In rare cases we may need to provide customer information to Royal Mail in order to recoup any losses when claiming for lost parcels.

Behavioural Advertising

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. For example:

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(b) We have a contractual obligation to provide an exchange of goods or services for money. Unfortunately we cannot take payment, provide shipping for your order or provide adequate communication about your order without taking the required personal information. 

Please note that this service is intended for individuals that are over 18 years old. We do not intentionally collect children’s data. If a parent or guardian believes their child has had their data collected as outlined in our privacy policy, please contact us by email at hello@theprintlass.co.uk or by writing to us at 14 Slaymaker Lane, Oakworth, West Yorkshire, BD22 7EU and we will delete this information.

We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a police demand, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

How we store your personal information

  • Your Personal Information will be initially processed in Ireland and then will be transferred outside of Europe for storage and further processing, including to Canada and the United States.   • We will keep your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, and phone number until you ask us to remove it. We will then dispose of your information by deleting it from the web-based Shopify Portal and our computer (if this has been required) and will also request deletion from all partners listed above.

  • A cookie is a small amount of information that’s downloaded to your computer or device when you visit our Site. We use a number of different cookies, including functional, performance, advertising, and social media or content cookies.
